Women (and Mecca) Getting Sh*t Done
For her entire adult life Ariel has been a cheerleader for independent artists. She adores the challenges that today’s music business presents and she leads her team to help clients come out ahead. She is known throughout the industry for her books, and dedication to education and she loves teaching artists which she has done in 12 countries for over 100,000 creatives helping them take control of their marketing. She’s the author of 6 books on marketing, crowdfunding, social media, and publicity for artists. She enjoys her toddler, her cat, cooking, and discovering esoteric music blogs.

Brooklyn-born and Long Island-raised, MeccaGodZilla is a music producer, MC, visual artist, and label founder. He serves as a music production teacher and United States Cultural Ambassador of Hip Hop for Next Level USA, a U.S. State Department initiative whose mission is to use art to foster cross-cultural creative exchange, promote understanding, and facilitate conflict transformation while supporting the professional development of artists. Mecca releases music through his indie label, MANAFEST VISION, owns a streetwear brand called “arigatz,” and is a plant-based activist collaborating with Black VegFest (NYC) and Plant Based News (UK).
A Scottish musician who studied classical piano at the Univ. of Glasgow & UNSW Sydney. A child of the 80s, she grew up listening to Madonna, Wham!, David Bowie & Fleetwood Mac. She played Irish fiddle in the London-based band Woodsmoke. Sarah has worked at the BBC in media rights and talent royalties and helped to digitize much-loved programs including Top of the Pops. As an experienced writer and creative, she enjoys discovering indie artists. She’s based in Barcelona and likes traveling, local cuisine, & spending family time.
Suz is a mindset coach for music professionals and founder of The Rock/Star Advocate, helping creatives with time solutions that enable them to gain clarity on their next steps while maintaining a healthy work/life balance. Her first book, The Rock/Star Life Planner, now in its fourth edition, is a tool for creatives to find focus in their daily lives and her teachings can also be found in her many guest blog posts for Rising Tide, Huffington Post, Sonicbids, Tunecore, Soundfly and on her podcast Music-Preneur Mindset.
Northern CA native Mike, a multifaceted singer/songwriter/producer, has navigated the diverse life of an indie musician for 25 years. His achievements include award-winning pop songs, film scores, session work (singing, guitar), album reviews, and artist interviews (Green Day, Radiohead, Eric Clapton). Educated in music marketing (Berklee, John Oszajca, Indepreneur), he’s passionate about mentoring musicians. Often, Mike’s outdoors in Lake Tahoe, hiking or biking with his family.
